本書法教室適合對書法愛好者啟發興趣、並希望配合海外華語教學發揚固有文化。
亦著重於培養專業書法人員作好文化傳承。使學員身、心、靈俱全，德、智、體兼修。

感謝您光臨本書法教室網頁。來美國十多年來，有個弘願希望能把中國書法在海外推展開來，亦使中華文化在海外脈絡相傳、延綿不絕。

上世紀因西方文化及時代變遷加上電腦的衝擊，書法曾一度日趨勢微，在海外亦不受重視。然而正當全球"中文熱"及大陸的經濟及文化興起之際，書法已悄悄地在我們炎黃子孫的血液裡再度地火熱起來。讀者可由中國書法網及書法江湖等網站目睹這一文化復興事實的來臨將可為我中華民族藝術、文化、及政經再造福祉。

雖然多數成年人一談到書法時常感嘆"以前沒學好"、"不知道怎麼用毛筆"、"不知如何欣賞"，但這並不代表沒有寫字的藝術天份，其實只是沒有門路或良師啟蒙罷了。我的一位高中國文老師資成都先生國學造詣深厚，於書法更是五體兼備。資老師自幼貧困失怙，三十多歲以後才開始習書法，任何人見了他的字大概都不會相信他小時候沒碰過毛筆，可見學習書法並不受年齡的限制。(詳見個人簡介)

筆者於書法之道略有領悟。書法之妙可分為筆法、心法兩大領域。秉持諸恩師之教誨，不欲為己有，希望為海外書法教育盡點微薄之力。開班授課不分年齡、階層、文化背景。望祈各界前賢後進不吝指正。

2. Tuition, Schedule, and Locations (課程及學費)

上課以循序漸進、深入淺出、生動活潑方式進行，使學生能興趣盎然、自動自發、勤於練習。學生可依個人喜好由唐楷(歐陽詢、顏真卿、柳公權)、隸書、或魏碑入門。有書法基礎者亦可選擇其他字體。描紅及練習範本將依學生各別程度及所學字體特別設計。

請學生自備文房四寶。課堂上代售文房四寶，批發價。如欲委託選購毛筆，請於第一次上課時討論。

To schedule an appointment for the first time for an individual private lesson, please email ArtsAndVirtue@MSN.com.Please include your full name, primary phone and (or) cell phone, Mandarin Chinese level, your preferred time (limited to 10 AM to 6 PM, Saturdays & Sundays or 6:30 PM to 9 PM, Wednesdays), your preferred length of each class ($20 for 75 minutes session per person or $25 for 90 minutes session per person), and whether you already have adequate Four Treasures.

Price per lesson per person may be lowered if the student is willing to share the same session with another one or two students, or the students may choose to receive credits or gifts. (Limited to 3 persons at a time for a small group)

Class Policy

Appointment for the first class must be confirmed three to five days before the first class (first time students only) regardless any prior confirmation or notice. This means new students must confirm by Thursday if s/he is coming to the Sunday class.

In case there is a thunder storm, snow or a severe weather situation, the class will be rescheduled.

Except for weather situations, please call Joshua's cell (972) 571-5672 at least three hours in advance if you want to reschedule or cancel a class. Reschedule or cancellation by e-mail must be done at least one day in advance.

2006 年 1 月 1 日	We will have a multi-cultural and arts festival at Elite on Jan. 1, 2006, 6:00PM. The party will have demos of calligraphy / painting, teapot & tea tasting, Chinese herbs, music talent show, and book exhibitions. Ticket for dinner buffet is $5 per person.
