中秋晚會書法揮毫 Chinese Calligraphy Demo for

Moon Festival Celebration

September 5, 2015

This is the first time I wrote Chinese calligraphy on cardstock.

Summer Yu bought these textured cardstock from Hobby Lobby at 40 cents each.

I asked her to buy "textured" instead of smooth ones based on a Chinese calligraphy theory called "疾與澀".

I would not write on slippery paper or smooth cardstock.

We enjoyed the shows, food, and moon cakes.

Joshua's Journal:

Today Dallas Chinese Community Center had an annual fundraising event. I was there last year. Most people went there today.

I taught a Chines Brush Painting class at DCCC this afternoon, and came to this celebration at 5:30PM. They already started dinner early. The food was really nice. I knew I was going to teach another two classes this Sunday. Here we do have conflicts of schedules due to many activities in Dallas. Time management is really important.

By September 7, Sunday, I had had four free dinners or lunches in five days. The food is really traditional Chinese flavor and healthy!
