Silk Mounting Styles for Chinese Calligraphy
(Ready to fit into your own frame. No mat is required.)

The sample calligraphy, painting, and frames are not included with your order of "Silk Mounting". They are here for display only. In order to understand the basic terms of Silk Mounting, please READ ME FIRST.

The mounting specialist will match the following silk mounting styles in their original formats (or similar formats per your requests) with our own available silk brocade patterns and colors. The silk color(s) will be matched with your choice of Shuan Paper.

Premium Silk Mounting styles use the same silk as for Basic Silk Mounting styles. PSM just adds the decorative strips which require more intensive labor.

Basic Silk Mounting costs $120 for a base size of 360 square inches. If your frame is smaller or larger than 360 square inches, the price will be prorated.

The two silk brocades connect each other. The outmost white area may be your mat. This website does not sell mats.

The outer brocades do not connect each other.

Please note that your order of Silk Mounting does not contain the upper and lower rods and knobs of a scroll as in the Scroll Styles WebPage, and they can not hang onto the wall without first fitting into your own frames or upgrading to a scroll. There will not be "edge wrapping" for Silk Mounting since it will be fitting inside the frame. However, the decorative strips near the left and right edges are still provided as in some of the PSM styles. (Sometimes, edge wrapping strips and decorative strips and even liners are the same if they are mounted near the edges of the work. In these situations, the decorative strips are wider, usually between 1/2 to 2 inches. A mere edge wrapping strip is usually between 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide.)

The prices of Premium Silk Mounting are 75% of the scrolls' prices in their respective styles as listed in the Scroll Styles WebPage.

To figure out the price of your desired PSM style:

Step 1: Find the respective scroll style from Scroll Styles Web Page

Step 2: If your picture core is larger than 360 square inches, use the 10% incremental chart of a scroll to find out the scroll's price.

Step 3: The scroll's price x 75% = your PSM style's price

If you would like to use your own wallpapers to mount your order of Chinese calligraphy instead of using silk.
(Joshua's mounter will not mount fabrics and brocades sold in American stores and computer prints as those materials cannot be mounted in the traditional way it is done for Chinese calligraphy and painting.)
